Experienced former international forward Vita Kuktiene (186-F-80) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league’s leader Kibirkstis-Tiche and that’s her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13. The 32-year old forward had the game-high 16 points adding nine rebounds for Kibirkstis-VICI-IKI in her team’s victory, helping them to edge out Aistes-LSU (#6, 4-9) 66-65.

4. Laura Svarytė („Aistės-LSU“) 24 taškai ir 14 atkovotų kamuolių
5. Kristina Palaimaitė („Utena“) 11 taškų, 10 atkovotų kamuolių ir 2 rezultatyvūs perdavimai

10. Erika Liutkutė („Hoptrans-Sirenos“) 18 taškų ir 9 atkovoti kamuoliaiIt allowed Kibirkstis-VICI-IKI to consolidate first place in the Lithuanian LMKL. Kibirkstis-Tiche has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 12-1. It was one of impressive evenings for Kuktiene as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Vita Kuktiene averages this season 11.5ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young power forward Laura Juskaite (187-PF-97) of Jaunieji Talentai. Juskaite impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Jaunieji Talentai lost that game 59-87 to the higher-ranked Suduva (#3, 9-4). Jaunieji Talentai are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Jaunieji Talentai managed to get this year. Juskaite is a newcomer at Jaunieji Talentai and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Rita Milieskiene (175-PG-78) of Utena (#7). Milieskiene showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. Despite Milieskiene’s great performance Utena lost 72-74 to the higher-ranked Sirenos (#2, 10-3). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Utena can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-11 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Milieskiene she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Milieskiene has individually a great season in Lithuania. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 16.5ppg (6th best).
